Hi Priti,

For sure there will be some charge by your bank for changing currency; this is pretty much always the case.
When changing the currency in the website, it will convert it most accurately. When it then comes to charging, I would check directly with your bank.

You can ask them as well what is the best way to get money from the ATM and pay with your card in Europe. Maybe they have some good recommendations. On the other hand, you could even consider changing to a more travel-friendly bank, if it’s worth it the time and money.

Hi there,
Thanks a bunch for providing such detailed information.
I have a query for you. I would be traveling to Munich in 2 weeks. Now whether I book weekend tour tickets in advance from India or after reaching Munich, in both the case the amount would be in EUROS. So, would I be charged some additional fee as my card/GPAY is linked to an INDIAN bank. I am sure there must be some kind of an additional fee involved in such scenario.
Could you provide some information on it? Thanks again.
