Thanks, this is a great question!

Visa issues always depend on where you are from. We are from Europe and we got issued a 90 days Visa on the Airport right away. The only “sills” issue was: At the Airport in Da Nang, Vietnam , the lady wanted to see our Return Ticket, our Onward Ticket. Well, we as Europeans do not need one for Taiwan. But Vietnamese people going to Taiwan need to show this proof of onward travel.

The lady did not care at all and we needed to get an Onward Ticket by OnwardTicket.com (check my review here). This way the only issue.

As for your Visa, check iVisa.com. This is always the tool I use. I also wrote a review about iVisa here.

Question. How were you able to get into Taiwan?? I am seeing so much hassle. It appears that I need an invitation letter just to apply for a visitors visa. I don’t have a host or know anyone in Taiwan. So how were you able to travel in?
